0xc0000022 Error for limited user accounts

I get a n 0xc0000022 Error if a limited user account log in.

Is this a known issue?

If I login as a non-administrator account I get this error and Avast doesn’t start.

I have xp home with 2 accounts. All accounts had administrator rights when I installed Avast. Then I changed the second to a limited account.

You’ll have problems… Downgrading of rights is always a problem in Windows.
I suggest you start a new limited account since from the beggining, deleting the trouble one after 8)

Hi,

I had the same problem and after two hours with Google I managed to solve it.
There are two files MSVCR71.DLL and MSVCP71.DLL in your windows\system32\ directory and you have to grant them Read and Execute permition for Users.

Well, they are basic libraries, used by many programs. Not granting read and execute for all users is certainly very strange. Did you change the permissions somehow (to that they were not granted)? How did you install avast (from what account)?
