1by1 mp3 player author's site URL false alarm

Hi,

1by1 is a well known compact media player with extremely small executable.

The author has written another utility called mp3directcut for editing mp3’s without resampling them.

The author’s site is http://mpesch3.de1.cc/

however, AVAST incorrectly gives a false positive on this URL/executable: http://mpesch3.de1.cc/1by1_172.exe

can AVAST personnel explain why? Is this false positive the result a heuristic being applied?

more importantly how will the problem be solved in the next virus definition update? if the only solution is to whitelist the url, then it does not give me very much faith in AVAST’s virus detection algorithms.

The URL is invalid anyway (the file of that name is not there).
