2 free Licenses for PC and Notebook?

Hello Forum!

I’m working with Avast free since a long time and got my key which I need to renew from time to time as usual. Now I purchased a Notebook as well and of course want to have Avast on it as well. I downloaded the installation file but before I install it I need to know how to register it with a key. Do I need to request a new key, a second key or can I use the same key as for my PC?

You dont need keys for the free version of avast, just register it through the GUI maintenance\registration.

you are partly right. it still needs a key code, but the free version just puts it in for you when you fill out the form. If you have a key code from when you previously registered, then you can put it in at the bottom of the page where you go in to register. it will say put offline code in here or something like that. if you dont have one and were using the free version, just re-register and get another one. if you do the online one, it will not give you a copy olf the registration code though so if you plan on using it for multiple computers (like I do) I do the offline registration and they will send it to you through the email.

Uh…DavidR is right! You do “not” need a key for the free version. Period. All you have to do is follow David’s instructions. Why make it difficult…it’s sooo easy. Each time you install avast free you can register right from the GUI. And you can install “free” on as many computers as you need. Why use an old “key”, when with each registration you get one full year and not a partial year?
