2 licenses for a single machine

So I have an interesting issue that I’m fairly certain I know the answer to but I’d just like to know if I am right. I am purchasing a new laptop, it will have 2 operating systems on it and I will be working extensively outside of my home on school networks/business networks so protecting the machine is a high priority. So my question is if I buy a licence I know I can install it on 3 different computers, will each operating system on my single machine count towards the license count? I would assume yes, I just want to know if anyone else has experience with this.

Thank you everyone, and I hope my question came across clearly enough.

Each OS must have it’s own license since each one is considered as a separate machine.
Since I have three virtual machines on my laptop each one is considered as its own and not part of the host machine.
I have one host machine and three guest machines each is considered as “independent” from each other.

You can have as many “free” versions as needed. You will need to purchase separate “paid” license for each OS.

Para-Noid’s answer is the logical one

But as far as I know we never had an official answer from Avast! on such question(s) in the past.
Although I could be wrong, and my young Padawan Para-Noid knows more than me. But I am going to forward this ( again )

Yes, Red we never had an answer that time, but I am pretty sure each OS need their own Avast be it Free or paid. So I am with Para-Noid too.

this is hard one  How do you understand the EULA - http://files.avast.com/files/legal/eula-avast-consumer-2015.pdf ? It talks about Computers… don’t take it as official answer, I’ll have to check it with lawyers…

Lawyers … that means we will never get a clear answer ::slight_smile: :stuck_out_tongue: ;D

;D ;D

Since I am not a lawyer, mum’s the word :-X

Thanks lukas
