2 questions about the Free Antivirus

Hello Avast community,

  1. How to do manual security vulnerabilities test & eg export settings - import?(free)?
    I ask it because sometimes a message is displayed that … security holes have been detected.
  2. And can you export your settings & exceptions so that you don’t have to reinstall them every time you reinstall it, e.g. install Avast on a different computer?
    If so how & how to import it?
    I have version 23.3.6058 (Build 23.3.8047.782) & Windows 10 22h2 64 bit.
    I use a translation program from German to English.

  1. Note sure exactly what it is you are asking here as you appear to be asking two things ?
    However - what were you doing when you got this message - a screenshot would been very helpful.
    In a lot of cases these warnings might well be legit (without info almost impossible to say), however for the most part they would be offering a paid avast service to prevent these issues,

  2. Backup Settings - Avast UI > Menu > Settings > General > Troubleshooting > Backup / Restore Settings. See attached image, click to expand.
    I can’t confirm if exceptions, etc. would be included, but I would have thought so.

It also sounds like a sales pop-up that occurs on occasion
Such as your IP address is exposed etc.
Check your privacy settings and turn off notifications from third parties.
Menu > Settings > Personal Privacy >
