I have 2 questions which are as follows:

  1. I saw a post yesterday from VLK that Avast free 5.0.396 is still in beta form released to the public for testing, my question is when is the next major release of Avast 5 Free going to happen?

  2. Will the next major release of Avast 5 be the end of the testing?

  1. not any more that pre-release is now available through a manual program update or you can wait the 7 day update cycle.

  2. beta testing was effectively over (hence a lack of posting on the beta sub-forum) on the 19/01/2010 when avast5 was released as 5.0.377. Some bugs were squashed and Vlk let those experiencing problems that might benefit by trying the fixes in a pre-release.
