3 FP in 24 hours

The latest 24 hours I have had 3 Win32.Malware.Gen warnings.

The first file is part of my eID card software, issued by the Belgian Government (I was so stupid to delete that one).
The second file OFFPROV.EXE (dating from 1999) is part of Microsoft Office 2000.
The third file IP.EXE (also dating from 1999) is part of the Electronic Arts Game Sports Car GT.

Jotti doesn’t find a threat, apart from Avast and G-Data (but G Data uses Avast , doesn’t it?).
The last two files have been uploaded to Avast for checking.

yes...Bitdefender as engine A and avast as engine B

Did you check the second find against this file info? http://www.backgroundtask.eu/Systeemtaken/taakinfo/40233/OFFPROV.EXE/
Did you report the apparent FP’s to avast?
Here a certain IP.EXE is seen as threat: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/startups/IP.EXE-7447.html
and this is probably the non-suspicious one on your machine: http://www.backgroundtask.eu/Systeemtaken/taakinfo/34730/ip.exe/
Check an report back, please.
Note that more probably Win32.Malware.Gen false positive flags were reported to-day,

Maybe a fix may be upcoming with a new avast update to ease out your problem there,
I reported the existence of these FP’s,

P.S. Read this tutorial on FP’s by RejZoR: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?board=2;action=display;threadid=7779

Thanks, for this reply. Avast now doesn’t give these FP anymore, so I guess the matter is settled.
