Austea, I have exactly the same problem. I did a quick scan which found nothing, then I did a full scan and Avast found 3 serious problems… the file directory/name ended in ‘Emul’. I did an internet search on ‘Emul’ and the site recommended I should delete this potential worm/virus. Therefore instead of putting into ‘chest’ I proceeded to deleted the files through Avast. As you found only the first two were deleted (the 3rd was the same name as the first so I assume that since it was deleted it could not be find it a second time). On following the recommended reboot I now can’t open any programs by either clicking the destop toolbar or going through 'ALL Programs" (although Windows Explorer does open but no files will open using it). Perhaps there is bug in the latest upgraded of Avast since your post was only yesterday. Hoping the forum can come up with a much needed solution!
