Does the 30 Trail of Avast Premier usually install in an unsecured state?
The software is displaying that my license is not valid, and that my VPN trial is over. I’ve never “started” a VPN trial, and this is the first time I’ve used avast in a while.
I still have a current license with Kaspersky, but after the U.S. Government purging all Kaspersky software due to possible vulnerabilities, I figured it might be a good idea.
I’m most interested in the firewall component, but operating system keeps reporting that the avast and windows firewalls are turned off.
Is this standard behavior of the software until you buy a license?
Well thanks for the response but it feel’s generic, or like you didn’t read what was replied. At any rate,…
Already done, a response was typed to your 4th initial question.
Check, did that. Offline installer was the version used. Running an online web installer on an unsecured machine is just,…stupid.
Not applicable. As stated Kaspersky was previously used, not Avast. Moving on…
So re-installing is the fix for the software not working correctly on the initial install?
Thanks for the heads up, but that is pretty standard procedure when you have powerful software that commercial Windows “security” software might get confused with a virus/malware.
Thanks again Asyn for responding, but if a “reinstall” is the solution for the firewall issues that won’t work. If an uninstall /reg clean/scrub is going to happen, then a different product that has a “clean slate” so to speak will be installed post clean.
If you installed Avast and it isn’t working properly then
doing a clean install of Avast can fix the problem.
That’s probably why Asyn posted that information.
