32 or 64 bit?

Hi, I am currently building a computer. I currently am using Windows XP 32 bit. My new computer will be running either Windows 7 or 8 64 bit. I know that some programs have 2 different versions to download depending whether it’s 32 or 64 bit. Is that the case with Avast anti-virus??? I just want to download it first on my old computer before connecting my new computer to the internet.

avast does not have separate installer for 64 bit.
the single installer on both (32 and 64bit).
so just download the latest version v9.0.2011.
and
