4.7 : Updating pbl error 0x426 - 0x2

Hello all,

Since the program upgrades to the version 4.7, The update engine is not able to do its stuff …
I get a pop up the 1st time avast try to update VPS or Program telling me there was an error.

And here is the error message I have in the eventlog :
Function setifaceUpdatePackages() has failed. Return code is 0x00000426, dwRes is 00000002.

It’s the same if I use the Cmd Line Interface :

avast! Antivirus Updater, Version 4.7
Copyright (c) 2004 ALWIL Software

Working…

Updater failed with error code 0x426 - 0x2

Hope someone can help me with that …

Hi,

Do you have a firewall installed?

Have you remembered to give avast.setup necessary permissions?

0x426 is ‘The service has not been started.’

Is ‘avast! iAVS4 Control Service’ running?

Yes the ‘avast! iAVS4 Control Service’ is running.

I just dld and install the beta/patch version posted today : http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=20819.0

I still have the same issue… I’ll try to reinstall Avast tom.

Please send me file setup.log from avast4\setup folder.
