Hi everyone and thank you in advice! I also apologize for my english, i know i’m not the best writer in the world but i need help. I just scanned my home network with Avast Internet Security 2015 and, although everything seems to be ok, it shows me that there are 4 devices connected to my network, 3 of which have some strange IP adress (one of them is entirely made by f). I was wondering if it was somehow normal and is my huge ignorance that got me worried or maybe there is something wrong… Let me know if you can help and again thank you in advice.
Ps: I posted on the forum only once and i’m not really used to it, if i made some mistakes or if i chosed the wrong section let me know.
Don’t worry about it.
It is perfectly normal.
Nowadays devices have two IP addresses.
On for IPV4 and the other for IPV6.
I posted on the forum only onceNo, you already posted 5 times. This is your six'd one ;)
Thank you Eddy! You’re right, it was so much ago! I have just one more question, if two IP adresses are normal, why do i have four of them? (I just discovered, thanks to google, that 3 of them are Mac IP). The fourth is the mine one, thank God!
A MAC address is the hardware address for e.g. the network card.
It is not possible for me to tell what each IP belongs to/is, without a screenshot or something.
I can only guess at this time.
Could be 2 for your network card and 2 for WiFi or something like that.
Could also be 1 is your router/modem address, 1 WiFi and 2 for the network card.
No mather what they exactly are, all seems perfectly fine to me.
Just accept it as it is and don’t break your head over it.
I’ll do it, thank you for your support!!
