4 trojan files found

I’m using Avast internet security on windows 7.
I did a boot time scan and 4 trojan files were found that I moved to the chest, should I delete them?
They were located in;
c:\users\manny\appdata\locallow\sun\java\deployment\cache\6.0.…
djewers-A
djewers-C
Agent-s
Agent-b
All listed as trojans.
How do I prevent them from coming back?

Malware in the JAVA cache is on occasion down to having an old version of JAVA that could be being exploited.

There is no rush to delete anything from the chest, a protected area where it can do no harm. Anything that you send to the chest you should leave there for a few weeks. If after that time you have suffered no adverse effects from moving these to the chest, scan them again (inside the chest) and if they are still detected as viruses, delete them.

I have secunia psi installed on my pc, my java was up to date.
I guess the old versions are still installed someplace.

Check the windows add remove programs function and see if there any there, though I would have thought if they were still installed then psi would report that.

Whilst old versions are the most common cause but not the only possibility.

For removing old versions of Java, the program below does a good job and can also be used to check for updates.

“JavaRa is a simple tool that does a simple job: it removes old and redundant versions of the Java Runtime Environment (JRE).”
