However , it seems that in your subject (via your signature)support tools is also hosted by avast at:
utils.support.tools.avast.com/tools/support/utils/avastsupport.exe
it’s precisely this link that leads to a 404 page this morning
Unless I haven’t read it correctly (in German) ,is the tool hosted elsewhere ?

Nope, that’s the official link - probably a temporary server issue.
