4430 problems including avast! Mobile Security

:o There must be some problem with the scanner 4430 issues–really?
Invalid context during scan on all, including avast mobile. Every app, image, document…invalid context during scan.

Actions are delete, report false action, Ignore, more info.
If you click on more info for the Avast warning, you get the window to force close or Sys properties and it lists privacy issues with the avast mobile app.

At this time, I am hesitant to “resolve all”.

I will wait for admin response. Do I uninstall avast app…if I click resolve all, will it leave all files unusable?

This is a bit un-nerving. Advice appreciated

Hi,

the latest virus definitions got corrupted. We already took them down and are working on releasing a fixed version, but it might take a bit more time to do so just hang on, please. Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Filip

Same here. Every App i touch. “Ungültiger Kontext beim Scannen”/“bad context during scan”. Ive nothing changed before.
Restart the Phone does not fix it.

Motorola razr MAXX, Android 4.0.4
Avast 2.0.3380

Is that affecting my apps or files?

Hi,

I think the update is out. Can you try it?

It is in no way affecting your files/apps.

Filip

I just tried to update and received the following: The downloaded virus definitions were invalid. Please try again later.

It goes again. Thank you

Hi,

it might take time for the files to reach your fastest update server, but the files are there and are reported to be working (even here on the forum).

Filip

Tried updating again, still getting: The downloaded virus definitions were invalid. Please try again later.

Hi,

could you try to update your app from Google Play? I released a new version an hour ago. After updating and running a scan, all the problems should disappear (you might need to wait a little bit before running the scan so all the changes I made get applied correctly).

Filip

updated through Google play. update successful!
scanning now… looking good.
Very nice work. B-)

I had the same problem., What I did was delete all of AMS’ data through the Android Apps management. This got rid of the bad definitions file. I then opened AMS and it automatically downloaded a new database which works fine.
