I upgraded on my pc. All is working fine. Upgraded my girlfriend’s computer and the old Avast icon remains with a slash through it and the new 5.0.594 icon has an X on top of it. When I hover the curser over it, I get a message indicating the computer is at risk. But when I r-click the icon, the Avast window says all is secure. What gives?
Did you reboot after install ?
Try avast repair and reboot?
For a repair of avast. Windows, Add Remove programs, select ‘avast! Anti-Virus,’ click the Change/Remove button from the pop-up window, scroll down to Repair, click next and follow.
