what happened with this, evere since 5.1864 update - can barely connect to interent, wlan affected, and all applications take forever to run…
i have to disable the file shield to work on laptop, what is suggested procedure from here,
do i leave file shield disable, do i go back to previous version, do go to another update beta, do i reinstall this one ?

You could try updating to 5.1.874 here. http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=68927.0
It has resolved many of the problems with .864.

hmmmmm…big difference , lot better, maybe even faster than the original…dont know what change was doing this but…
