Ok, this will be long so long story short mcafee found 506 gamarue Faw on Norton security that I recrntly installed. Now for the long story, I suspected my laptop has a virus due to my nephews visiting sites that reeks of malvertisement, Avast couldnt do a full scan being stuck always at 27 while the quick scan and threat scan from malwarebytes didnt find any. I didnt trust mcafee enough with its scan because of past negative experience with it but didnt delete it because its running on a premiun trial. So I downloaded Norton security hoping that norton can do a full scan of the system and after downloading it McAfeee found like 10 gamarue at first then 200 then finally 506 Gamarue Faw on the file of norton. I dont know what Gamarue is so I immediately turn off my laptop thinking its the type of virus that spread fast. Can you guys help me in figuring this out and what to do now?

Can I ask what Gamarue FAW do and if its dangerous, I might not post the frst result tonight or today due to my work but I will try to update (currently using my phone to reply )
Here are the log files from FRST, I dont know how to post the mcafee log result so here’s a screenshot for whatever it’s worth. Can I ask whether boot time scan scans like the full scan?

Ok, this will be long so long story short mcafee found 506 gamarue Faw on Norton security that I recrntly installed.Detection is a result of program conflict having multiple AV installed
It seems you have removed Norton, but you also have to remove avast or McAfee as you can only have one AV
Can I ask whether boot time scan scans like the full scan?Boot time scan is not meant to be used as a regular scanner, it is a special tool to be used if avast have problems removing a infection
Thanks for that, well full scan does not work for me and I dont trust mcafee enough, is norton a good enough replacement for avast?
All AV vendors have free 30day test … try it and find out
Your system is malware free. Detected files are located in Norton quarantine and such are not threat to your system.
Rename FRST to uninstall and run it. FRST should remove itself and files it created.
Thanks again for the help you guys, I was really scared there for a moment that my computer has been badly infected or something.
