Avast forum,
Ever since I was updated to Avast 7.0.1426 Internet Security
everything seems to have slowed down.
The Avast icon spins ever time I open a bookmarked site,
click on another thread in a forum, open up an application
I’ve used many times, etc. Is this the correct behavior?

the file shield works in the background 24/7 when the comp is on, so every time something moves in the computer it is checked by the realtime scan…and the icon spin
if you surf the net and click on new websites…the web shield scan the incomming traffic…and icon spin

Thanks for the reply.
Ok, but it spins even when I open an application that’s
installed on my HD and I’ve used before so should be
trusted and not checked. Sometimes it will delay the
opening of an application for several seconds.
If I’m in a forum and open the same thread several times
it will spin every time.
If I shut down and re-start the comp it will spin on
everything I do for a while.
