Ever since 7.0.1466 installed, the SMTP portion of the mail shield isn’t communicating properly anymore with my ISP’s secure smtp server that’s requiring startTLS to be issued prior to accepting my mail.
I tried both of the available servers (secure and insecure), but the only thing that worked so far is to disable scanning the outgoing mail.
please look into this.
have you tried to delete all mail settings in avast and sett it up from start again?
several times, reinstalled, used the removal software, reboot as requested.
whatever it is, it also influences IMAP, since I now disabled both in- and outgoing scanning and ultimately the whole module to get my mails.
you may try the latest Beta to see if that changes anything
i doubt that when the IMAP connections isn’t even detected.
