Is there an avast warning that it has blocked your clients ? it doesn’t sound like an avast issue, more of a server problem :-\
Joomle is very huge security headache issue, also Joomle plugins are like security minefield …
are you sure your site wasn’t attacked and infested with some malware ?
Hi,
I’m sure that I’m not have been attacked. 15 different sites, on different servers with different versions of 2.5 joomla and different sources of templates.
I found out that if I use the original atomic templates I can access. So there has to be a function in templates that gives wrong alertes to avast. I tried 10 different anti-virus and no one gives problemes, only avast.
Kind regards
Hello,
post screenshot of avast!'s alert window, please.
Milos
I am having the exact same issue with avast, Lots of my clients site are bocked by avast, this has only been a issue recently.
google site checker,
Nortons Safe Web,
AVG site checker etc all are clear and clean. But AVAST… nope!,anyone with avast cant access the website!!.
Screenshot of alert from either webmaster will help here. Note that a team member from avast! already has made this request.
there is no screenshot it just says page not found. I will look if I find a PC with Avast and send you the exacte alert
Its now more than 2 weeks, a lot of my clients are loosing a lot of money. Where can I send the bill?
Not only GZIP is concerned, sometimes there are other messages, it depend of the template we use.
Still no answer?
Can somebody help, it costs a lot of money every day the sites are blocked
Still nobody?
Its perhaps only a line to change in a template, but where? Even better would be if Avast finally move and fix the problem at source, that mean in Avast.
Regards
i don’t think that it has anything to do with the “avast” program…
i went to the webpage and got “404 - article not found”
Thats correct, its the way how avast block it. Go to avast, set web protection off and go again to www.silkepan.ch you will see it appears.
I have a small question to Avast People.
The problem exist now more than 1 month. I’m supporter since 30 years. Is this what you called “american way” of solving problems? Pushing the problem farer and farer and if possible to others? I have actually a similar discussion with hotmail.
I’m so sorry to ask you that, but we are losing money and I’m think a lot of other people too. But perhaps I better ask specialised Computermagazines for help
Kind regards
I have tried to access the website with and without avast! and still comes back with 404 error.
The Joomla related error says: Article not found
Have you changed something on the server recently? Let’s say mod_rewrite?
Try to disable the SEF URL’s or try to visit the article by ID.
I’ve just visited the webpage with a computer that has never seen avast! (it has corporate MSE) in it’s life and i get 404 error just as well…
The 404 is NOT caused by avast.
It is more likely a problem with the server.
Besides, the site is infected:
http://sitecheck.sucuri.net/results/www.silkepan.ch/
http://zulu.zscaler.com/submission/show/5084b6b0bcf59879b2295d19802fed97-1381140414
The site is not infected, the problem comes from the templates and SEO. I found out that all Artisteer created templates gives the same error. I set back to beez template and no problem anymore.
Perhaps also other templates will mess up avast.
But anyway there is a problem with avast, because since 1-2 weeks I get also problems with sending e-mails but only if the clients provider is Swisscom. I cut of Avast or install anivir, avg or else the problem disapear.
Kind regards
You are totally off-topic here. And the original issue has nothing to do with avast, at all.
“You are totally off-topic here. And the original issue has nothing to do with avast, at all.”
I agree this part has nothing to do with this topics. But its for saying there are more and more problems with your software and I’m sorry it has to do with avast, because if I change antivirus or set off avast all this problems disappear.
Kind regards
