So a few days ago my Chrome was messing up and doing things like this http://imgur.com/3PBYQ on various websites such as Gmail, Youtube, Facebook, and a few others. Starting using FF and a friend suggested I download Avast since my malwarebytes wasn’t picking up anything.

I did and now roughly every 5-10 minutes Avast pops up saying it blocked those two. The Virus description is Win32:DNSChanger-VJ [Trj] Is there anyway I can fix this somehow? I don’t know what’s going on.

This needs further analysis by a malware removal specialist:
Go to this topic http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=53253.0 for information on Logs to assist in cleaning malware.
Use the information about getting and using the tools and attach the logs here, not in the LOGS topic.

I feel REALLY dumb now. I’m not new to removing malware or anything but…

Malwarebytes found and removed it when I was going through the list that you posted. I think it found it after I installed and ran Avast but I’m not sure because it didn’t catch anything before this. I also used Emsisoft and it removed some other problems and everything is fixed now. Thanks for your help though!

You’re welcome.

hey a suggest you fallow the guide and post the result here so a malware expert can look it through and see if there could be any malware left that needs to be clean. just in case .
