Please fix the 9-30-2014 definitions, they are picking up an Outlook 2011 .ExSyncMap file as being MSIL:GenMalicious-ALS.
Hi Admin,
My system is also affected by the same issue, i believe i got an update this morning on Avast.
MSIL:GenMalicious-ALS [Trj]
UID: 501
You can report a possible FP here: http://www.avast.com/contact-form.php
Any updates coming that will remove this false positive? With so much information provided in the different forums, I’d expect Avast to already release an update. Should I be looking for an alternative vendor?
The next VPS should fix this issue.
Latest definitions are 20141001-0
We’re getting 14100100 still even after updating, and still getting the MSIL:GenMalicious-ALS [Trj] message

That means it should be fixed in 20141001-1
We have the same problem on all of our Mac systems as well. Changing Avast Preferences to “Just Block” and changing notifications is our temporary fix. Waiting on a virus definition update to resolve the issue.
New virus def available. It looks like it is working.
