A bug in Avast 2014.9.0.2016

I uninstalled the previous version of Avast 2014 Free Edition from Add/remove, used the avast uninstall utility in safe mode, and used the Avast Cleanup tool in normal mode and did a manual restart. When you go to Avast GUI>Settings>Appearance>Scroll down and put a check mark on Show welcome message on Windows boot screen (Windows 7 or higher).

My OS is Windows 7. When turn on my laptop it shows the windows logo and below it the message doesn’t change to “Protected my Avast! Antivirus”.

I have a check mark there too but it isn’t showing anything on my window’s 8.1 pc but does show up on my window’s 7.

Very strange… Hope someone from Avast sees this message.

Just now I reported this issue to Avast Support and submitted them a ticket.
