Hmmm… Is it legal avoid the manual registration of the software?
tech I didn’t understand.
They report the download as 300MB so I don’t know what other unwelcome gifts that you migh get with it, considering avast is currently about a 37MB download.
There is no way that I would consider downloading software in this why whit no idea of the integrity of the source. Generally it is best to get the software directly from the parent companies download servers or one of the many well known download sites.
I think those articles are user submitted, something like Wikipedia.
To avoid the existing registration policy they would have to modify avast or after 60 days trial you have to register. That modification is most certainly NOT approved by Alwil Software, so that is where Tech is no doubt concerned as to its legitimacy.

You can’t share an avast installation free for one year without registration.
You can’t register for anyone else.
You can share trial version (60 days).
