What is the better Firewall solution to combine with Avast! home? In this moment I use Sygate Personal. There is a better solution?

Actually there are some very good firewalls out there and all of them also have free versions… Zone Alarm, Sygate, Agnitum Outpost. Outpost is pretty good firewall, light on system resources, but I still think that Sygate is one step in front of Outpost (IMHO). I’m using Sygate 5.5 Fre edition and in combination with my hardware router firewall, it works perfect… not to mention how much avast! and Sygate loves each other… ;D

Why to change something that works well ? You can just give yourself a headache without a reason… friendly advice…

Im liking the free versions of avast! and sygate, im thinking of buying them both, avast! is a definate to buy tho :wink:

If a people want to buy the professional version of Avast! is possibile to buy into a shop? I don’t have a credit card and I can’t buy online this very good antivirus, that in the pro edition is perfect ;D

Nero anymore for windows is by far the most powerful and comprehensive burning suite period.

I guess the best free alternative would be CD BurnerXP Pro

I don’t have enough information about your location to be able to give you an answer… but, if you find my friend Mark (under radicalb21 nickname in forums), he should be able to give you better answer. He is avast! reseller in USA… of course it depends where do you live and is he close to you…

If you want a easy to use Firewall, go with Zone Alarm, if you are a bit more advance, try Sygate or Kerio. All of them are good firewalls.

I’m using Jetico with avast! for about 3 weeks. It is very stable, so far. :slight_smile:
