I wanted to share info of a new cool forums and if they join to tell from who they got the info! that’s all!

Making big deal for no reason.

I could definitely see his point of view, and I could see that he had a good reason to have something against Melih for that, though I think that bob did (Possibly unintentionally) make his post sound alike to trolling, hence the whole dispute started.
This is getting off topic BTW.

This is getting off topic BTW.
It certainly is.

do whatever you think is right…

Sorry Tenko, i don’t know you, i don’t trust you and i certainly don’t believe you when you say you get nothing out of it. Considering your history of advertising other products on this forum it’s either a) you must get something out of advertising or b) you advertise for products just for fun, without being payed for it. That’s just dumb and a huge waste of ones time IMHO. In any case i consider you a spammer.

The Comodo fanboys can be quite tenacious. ::slight_smile:

I’m still trying to find out what in that statement is misleading ???
I thought it was a statement of fact ???

Only when it’s about firewall

OK that’s funny, so you actually admit to advertising Comodo on avast forums ?

I find comodo firewall as best and I will advice people to use what I think is best (if they ask for opinions). I have tried a few other and ended up coming back to comodo firewall. but if that is advertising comodo for you then that how it is for you

So it’s ok for you to express your opinion on this forum but it’s not ok for someone (me) to do the same
on the Comodo forum. ???

of course you may and of what I have seen some comodo mods did support your idea but until a certain point

My personal opinion is that this thread needs to be locked or disappear completely.

I guess you must not have had your glasses on when you read it. ???

Hi! I’ve come to post here too. ::slight_smile:

Just to save you snoops the trouble, I’m a spammer at Comodo (or that is what they call me), former (sort of) fanboy (I now see more of CIS’s faults), and I also joined MalwareTips.com too. So I can tell you the whole referring thing is just a small competition among ourselves…we don’t get anything besides a good feeling about it.

BTW, I’m also members at different forums too. Not just these two.

MalwareTips.com isn’t really affiliated with Comodo or its forums. Many of the members came from it, and this is one reason we were inviting people here: To get a more balanced forum community. And, of course, you all acted with suspicion and insults. Way to go! :stuck_out_tongue:

(Note: I love sarcasm. Don’t take anything above too seriously.)

Hmm…so is this like the reign of terror? “All dissenting opinions shall be locked away and never see the light of day.” (I’m a poet too, dontcha know)

Since I’m from Comodo forums…I generally see that dissenting opinions are allowed. In fact, plenty of the users don’t use CIS. They just like the community. However…others who come in and insult Comodo are quickly put down.

It’s like a reflex reaction…they are so used to people saying how bad Melih and CIS are, so if anyone is calling names and being offensive…they react (sometimes a bit offensive too). But reasoned and cool posts, even if critical, are (generally) accepted. You see that a great deal in the bug reports.

Edit: I just thought of something. My password to this forum was sent to me via email in plain text. Any reason for that?

Who do you have doing the malware removal there - as I see you have a subforum for that ?

At MalwareTips? Well…some of us decided to call themselves experts and remove malware. ::slight_smile: (Most know something about helping, it is just that the admins gave a few of them that status without really seeing how much experience they have. We’ll see in time, though.)

That was fine with me, of course. The only problem is, we have more helpful people than needy people. And you guys aren’t exactly needy, so…it is my opinion that we should go to those poor chaps at Wilders and see if they are ready to stop needing to reformat. ::slight_smile:

Welcome Laser Wraith-nice to see you will have a place to go while you are banned from the Comodo forum. I think the reason one might think of locking the thread is so it doesn’t degenerate into just one more unproductive discussion of Melih and the Buttboys vs the world. It would never survive at Wilders, for example. I don’t think that the “Bob” thread would have survived anywhere else. If anyone would like to start a thread on the technical merits of various sandboxes, feel free-there are a lot more implementations and a lot of expertise-as long as you don’t try to justify everythings with YouTube videos. But this is really a help forum for Avast!, not more of a social engineering forum and platform for Melih like Comodo, so the atmosphere and emphasis is a bit different. As far as Malware Tips, I much prefer that the questions and answers be concentrated in the product forums (where they exist) both because of the available expertise, including employees here, and the ease of sharing. If Malware Tips wants to be useful, maybe you should approach some of the products without dedicated forums (like Private Firewall, for example) and see if they want to make a deal. You really need something more to make users want to go there. Good luck; and don’t just be a Comodo Annex-ban Melih NOW!
Regards,
Ed

Well yeah he is a member of the forum…I’m sure people will call that connected…

It isn’t exactly “his” site. Though, Valentin, I’m not sure I agree with you being only a little-known member here, posting about another security site (though we aren’t “competing”), and asking them to say that you referred them.

See, some of the guys here are a bit paranoid…

And resort to vulgarity:

Oh, well, I have been banned plenty in the past from Comodo, but right now my spammer status isn’t official. The mods are surprisingly lenient, considering how much I “tested” them (sarcasm doesn’t earn you the friendship of most mods :P).

Ah yes, Melih and us buttboys. Well I think Melih often has a point, and that other forum communities are only jealous because their CEO is too busy counting his $$, but those are just opinions I entertain myself with. 8) Sometimes I (gasp) disagree with Melih, since his mindset is “save the world from paid AVs” and some of those AVs actually kind of sort of work (the ones with more than just a blacklist).

Don’t get me started about the depraved souls at Wilders. I once embarked on a crusade to minister to them, and they did the next best thing to burning me at the stake. The only group worse are some of the people at the (fanfare and angels’ songs) Calendar of Updates!!! I find nothing interesting in their little calendar anyway. All these meaningless virus definitions ???.

Sorry for the rant.

BTW, what is wrong with YouTube videos? I suppose you’ll be okay with me since I like Vimeo (you guys really need an angel emoticon).

Hoo hum, is Comodo Forums only a social engineering platform? I guess you haven’t noticed all the effort the mods put into help requests, bug reports, and wishes/suggestions. In fact, these two forums feel a bit similar to me.

Yes, I wonder if Malware Tips will ever get going, or splat like most others. Hard to offer something unique on the internet. Most forums are maintained (or at least started) by some useful product’s support team being on it.

I have a hard time keeping me lovely self from being banned; can’t do much against King Melih. ;D
