I think there is a new Beagle virus on the loose.
(Win32.Beagle-gen1) Thankfully, the superb
Avast program caught it during my daily hard
drive scan, but it can’t be repaired. I would
simply delete the file, but the file is my
Outlook Express/Inbox.dbx. When I moved it
to the Virus Chest, naturally all of my InBox
Messages went there too.
Does anyone know of a suitable method for getting
rid of this virus without deleting the entire Inbox?
Thankyou. BTW… I LOVE Avast!. It’s light years
ahead of Nortons AV. (RIP)
Just cleaned my computer from Beagle-gen and Beagle-S. Avast detected them! Just I had problem that it used to reappear. I succeded to delete Beagle completely after altering the registry only. I had to delete the key “direct.exe”. After deletion virus tried to spread, but I satrted scanner and stopped it loosing several .exe files from system folder. Luckilly these files where calc.exe and similar. Anyway AVAST is the coolest AV I have ever seen.
