A problem with internet security 7 update

Hey all.
I want to update my avast( just update versions of virus definitions and the version of the program.)
and i cant do it.
its starts and dont do anything.
can someone help please?

Uninstall via Add/remove. It will ask you to restart your computer. Restart it. After that download http://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility and run this tool in safe mode. Once opening that tool in safe mode click on the down arrow and select Avast 7, click uninstall. It will uninstall it for you and once again it will ask you to restart again. Restart it. After that download and install avast! 8.

  • Which OS? (32/64 Bit - which SP)
  • Which avast-version? (Free, Pro, Internet Security)
  • Which program version (8.0.1483 is the latest)?
  • Other security related software installed?
