I use avast!8 free. I have read a few threads today on the forum advising that it is a good idea to turn off avast’s “self defence” module before doing a system restore. I cannot find this module in my avast GUI or settings. Could someone please explain how I go about finding and turning off avast’s self defence module so I know for future?
(I received a bad update today from another product and came close to needing to do a system retore. Thankfully all is well and I didn’t have to but it would be handy to know in case something like that happens again).
