I have just joined the Avast family about 2 weeks ago and have a small question. I am used to scheduling a scan with another anitvirus and while it is scanning I can open the window and see the scan in progress, the number of files and the the present files that are being scanned. Is there a way to do this with Avast?, I know it isn’t really necessary but would like to see the progress of the scan.
I installed avast with the defaults and have not skined the interface, so when I have a scheduled scan running how do I see the progress? I have the little icon in the tray that shows a scan is running, but it only gives me choices of “pause”, “stop” and I forget the thrid, but not to see the progress.
Normally, I don’t mind using beta, but with antivirus software, I think I would not feel safe as this is my main computer and I think your word of caution is well given here, at least for me.
If I demand a scan manually the session shows all the progress information, it is just with the scheduled that I don’t see a continuing progress, but Tech says it is there, I will have to see the next scheduled scan tonight.
