A really stupid question about the 'Virus Database Has Been Updated' graphic

Here’s the stupid question: what’s the little symbol to the left of the ‘X’ at the top of the graphic? I haven’t been game enough to click on it to find out! :-[

you mean the pin… ;D…if you click it the popup will stay there untill you click it away… :wink:

Why would you want it to stay there? You must have seen it to pin it, so why keep it there? :slight_smile:

Various reasons…

  • you can’t read it in time before it disappears
  • so you can take a screenshot
  • to show someone else

that’s all I can think of for now… :wink:

the format is the same for all popups, be it updates or detections, the pin is there to be used.

Maybe someone may love how the dialog looks like - hence the pin.
