Hi,
Im using avast free and I have an external SSD disk with a program that manages a local database of files for another program. Those files are listed in a txt that is needed so the manager program knows what there is in the DB.
For a while, I sometimes experience seemingly random “cant write/cant read/cant delete” errors related to that txt file or others that serve a similar function and they become corrupted.
I was told by support of that program that I should add the whole DB and the program folders as an exception to avast. I did but the issue persists. Then I was told by them that Anti virus programs sometimes ignore the exceptions.
I was wondering if there is a way of prohibiting avast to interact with the disk in any way or giving the capability to write or delete in that disk only to a handful of programs.
Thanks in advance.
