AA[Avast Animated] : Tray icon skin release

Hi everyone ! I use avast for quite a while (a few years) now, and I still think it’s one of the best antivirus out there.
Now I decided to take a look inside and has made a little animated tray icon to match my desktop theme (actually, pretty simple default Windows 7 theme in gray with transparent … things).
So, feel free to test my icon, but remember it could maybe not be beautiful in your notification area :wink:
Now for the icons : 2 sets, slightly identical.
The default icon (when Avast does … hum … nothing):

AA 1.0 : an opaque red bar shows up and “scan” the A letter

To use :
First, go to your avast installation folder and copy/backup the file “Aavm4h.dll” in another safe folder.
Then decompress the zip somewhere. You will see a “Aavm4h.dll” file in it. Don’t try to copy it immediatly into your avast installation folder : you know it won’t work ;D (avast security).
You have to restart your computer in safe mode (hit F8 just before Windows boot), then you can copy the dll over the one in your avast folder.
Restart, enjoy.

I actually like the avast! 5 icon now that it was fixed and i got used tot he orange design.

You’re right, Avast5 is gorgeous :wink: and I like the the new tray icon too.
I hope the final version will be released soon :wink:
Now of course my tray icon is for avast 4.8 users : the default tray icon in 4.8 is not that bad too, but i just wanted to change it for once.

It is also good to have more option :slight_smile: (Some people have different taste)
