???Happy Holidays to all. I use Build 4.6.744, WindowsXP&SP2,CPU-AMD1700+, Ram 1024 Kingston, Dialup , Windows XP Firewall. The Message shows up during doing a VRDB scan. Aavmker 4.sys- Page fault in non page area. Is this a problem you can tell me how to fix? Also please tell me how often I need to run the VRDB Scan. Thanks for your help, and no kidding this is the very best Antivirus product I have seen in my limited time in CYBOR World. JJ

Can you boot into the safe mode using F8 right before the boot-menu appears?
If yes, you can use the common uninstall procedure (Control Panel / Add/Remove programs) or using this tool: http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_uninstall_util.html
