"Abort connection"

Ok. here is what happened i was at website and then the loud warning you have a trojan virus has been detected came up and it said do you want to abort connect and immediately on instinct i pushed yes and now i was surfing the internet and i try to go to a specific site which i will not put but it says my connection has failed and this site is a lot like the one i was at when i got the trojan and pushed “abort connection”. So I need to go to this site can someone please tell me how to “unabort” the connection so i can get to this site without reformatting my computer

The connection is to that particular site, it’s not your entire Internet connection.
Why do you want to visit that infected site again?

its a site i use to check my email which is why i need to repair the connection any way to repair it?

uninstall then install avast?

Please post the link to it.
A new connection, closing the browser, starting again should trigger avast again.

Sorry but that is total overkill. Not to mention it wouldn’t make a blind bit of difference if avast is detecting elements on the site as infected. The next time you connected you would get the web shield detection and the abort connection.

You don’t understand how the web shield works, it is a local host proxy and all the abort connection does is drop that connection downloading that element which was detected stopping it being saved to your temporary internet files folder.

Your internet connection should remain unchanged other than for that instance.
