To report a false positive, is enough to use the respective button in the detection dialog?
Or should I send the file by email to Alwil?
Should I report here in the forum too?
Oh, and the webshield detection dialog doesnt have the report false positive button, so in this case is it better to copy the link and send by email to Alwil?
Ps–> I am not having any kind of false positive, I just would like to know how to proceed if it happens
Yes, exactly it. Is it enough? Press this button and them make a manual update to force the file and the detection info be uploaded to Alwil? Or its safer to send a email to them and create a thread here in the forum?
Personally email is a pain as you have to zip and password protect the file to prevent possible detection on route to avast, you can also send it from the chest, if it is in there, see image.
Email is really a pain.
So I will submit always any false positive or new malware sample by adding the files to chest and then submitting from there
I dont need to worry about zip or password protect…
And in case that is a new malware sample, it good because I can keep testing the file to know if its being detect or not with a new vps
