A few days ago, when I attached a USB to my desktop (not connected to the internet) , avast interface almost immediately appeared, warning two threats (Virus/ Trojan…I forgot) were found and asking which action I would like to take. I chose ‘delete’ and then pulled out my USB. For safety, I run boot-time scan, full virus scan for my desktop and no virus was found. I also inserted that USB into my computer again and run targeted scan, no threats were shown.
A few hours later, I thought I should know more about those threats. Without jotting down the names of those threats and capturing the warning screen, I opened the report folder. I do believe at that time the file shield was working as it included settings called ‘scan when attaching’, however no such threats were recorded in the report (besides ‘OK ‘ items, I choose all boxes in the ‘reported items’). I also checked all other reports such as behavior shield, web shield, no such threats were found too.

I understand since there is no screen capture or detailed descriptions of those threats, it is very difficult to determine whether it is a false alarm, however, I would like to know if threats are found upon attaching USB to desktop, will those threats be automatically recorded in its corresponding report? Should it be file shield? Just forget to mention, I also check ‘Notifications’ (on top of avast interface) and no records of those threats was found too.

Can full virus scan run in safe mode of Window 10? I tried several times and avast failed to load.
