The antivirus program blocked a webpage with HiStats code. Three years ago, it was a false positive (https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=90238.msg717817#msg717817). Is it a new false positive or now HiStats is malware? Online scanners don’t detect it as harmful.
The antivirus program blocked a webpage with HiStats code. What site? What does avast say?
This is the infection: JS:ScriptIP-inf [Trj]
The main page doesn’t have HiStats.
Hard to say without knowing what was flagged actually, but yes Hi Stats is a known one!
Alas FPs are known to come haunting virus base after a particular interval,
maybe as the memory has faded away by the avast team members
that have set the records straight during the past.
They should have a list of FP prones stuck up on their office wall ;D
