Thank your answer.someone told me that HOTMAIL has the different Message Transfer Protocol to smtp and pop.If I use windows live receive letter from hotmail,can AVAST! scan my mail?

No if it is using the ‘Microsoft proprietary’ DeltaSync protocol no it can’t, that is the issue with proprietary protocols only those authorised to use it (Microsoft products) are able to use it.
