In Net.Purum webpage (http://www.netpurum.com/eng/download.html) is stated that we can ‘use’ the program in XP systems IF there is a Net.purum proxy server.
I suppose this is not a local proxy application that could be installed… :
@ Vlk:
Is there any possibility of running it for tests in local XP systems?
Is there any beta or test program for it that could add ‘filter’ capabilities to this application?
@ Igor:
Is there any interest from Alwil to have this application translated?
Net.purum offers a proxy server, which is recommended for small local networks. This proxy server can recognize users by login name (NTLM authorization), or by IP address. The proxy server has only several basic parameters (listening port, method for user authorization, allowed IP ranges etc.)
But I can’t find any more info on their website about, nor do I see a download/purchase link or something.
It could be that the proxy comes with the installation file and you can choose to install it or not during the installation process.
There are many categories defined in the net.purum. Network administrator configures, which categories are permitted to access and which are denied.
Page requested for access by browser is checked inside the net.purum/ISA proxy against lists of words/URLs. By this check it’s recognised to which category belongs requested page, when it belongs to denied category, website is inaccessible (it is posible to ask administrator to permit specific denied websites). Additionally page is checked for malware presence with avast! engine against avast! virus database.
Yes, by purpose, but net.purum isn’t a desktop application, it should be installed on internet gateway(s).

Yes, by you’ve write above seems the same purpose.
I hope I can even test it here… I’m downloding the setup.
Anyway, why don’t you make a desktop application with it?
