About using multiple AV's and the Web Shield

Hello.

I would like to ask 2 things about Android devices.

First: In windows, I’m used to run 1 AV with real time protection and others without real time protection for on-demand scanning (to prevent problems with compatibility).
But, can I do that in Android too? I tried to have AMS installed and ESET Mobile Security & Antivirus (without real time protection), and I can’t notice any problems with that.

Second: I see that Avast comes with a web shield (for free!), but unlike the PC version, I cannot configure the shield (like increasing the heuristics). So, the web shield does really scan all files that comes from the internet (just like in the PC version) or it just looks if the site is suspicious?

Thank you for helping me.

The OS doesn’t matter much.
av’s are doing their work more and more “deep inside the OS” (especially when running in real time)
This can lead to conflicts as two av’s are trying to use the same thing at the same time.
Kinda like two cars that are trying to drive at the same piece of road at the same time.
It just is asking for problems.

Keep in mind that AMS is only supporting some browsers, so the webshield might not work on the browser you are using.

The webshield (no matter what OS) does not scan files, it scans traffic.

Hello, and thank you for the answer.
But, here in Windows I’m using Avast as my main AV, and have both ESET and Windows defender for on-demand scanner and never had any problems

I know that AMS only work for some browsers (unfortunately, doesn’t work for Firefox), but I’m normally using Google Chrome in the phone, and the web shield supports it.

What do you mean that the webshield scans for traffic? Some other mobile AV only looks if the website is susicious (agaisnt phishing, for example), so Avast do something more?
