about wifi and Anti-Theft SMS message

Hi,
If I have a wifi-only device and I cannot keep it always has internet connection, will I receive SMS message due to Anti-Theft functionality?

AFAIK if the device is wifi-only, you cant recive/send any SMS, and the friend phone will not recive any SMS from your Avast

Hi,

Is your device a phone? Dose it support send and receive SMS messages?

If you are using a phone supports send and receive SMS messages, it is possible to send and receive SMS Commands via Anti-Theft; since the Anti-Theft does not require Internet connection when send and receive SMS messages.

Hello, i am new here, and i am not sure if i am posting this at the right place (if not, please move this to the right place or delete it and notify me)
anyway, here it goes:
i have an android rooted device and i have anti-theft installed on this. I have selected the option “force data connection”. So, early today i ran a test to check the anti-theft, and it enabled wifi.
I want to have only data connection activated once i mark the phone as lost, so what shoul i do? thanks
