Account Sync Problem

Sign into your my.avast account.

I click the Sign In button and enter my login yahoo email and password and click Sign in, I get the same Service Unavailable popup. Any further attempt to sign in immediately shows the popup and the only way I can get the sign in screen back is to do the reset to default settings.

I can sign in to Avast One with the same login credentials, so I know they are valid.

This redirect shows up in my history and will immediately give me the Service Unavailable error.

id.avast.com/sign-in?target=https://auth-browser-sync.svc.avast.com/redirect

This is the link that is causing the error. Any attempt to sign in also returns the Service Unavailable error popup.

id.avast.com/sign-in?target=https://auth-browser-sync.svc.avast.com/redirect

If I uninstall the application will I loose all my bookmarks and / or passwords.
I have my passwords saved out to a csv file but cannot export bookmarks.

If I Can uninstall and reinstall without loosing my bookmarks and passwords that would probably solve my error.

See if this helps,

Thanks I’ll give it a try.
I believe somewhat the same applies to my passwords.
I’ll let you know

Completely Uninstalled and reinstalled and still get this error after signing in

Screen shot of sync interval

It states you aren’t signed in to your account?

That’s the problem.
i can sign in to id.avast.com and my Avast One Essentials using the same sign in credentials but when i enter them into the Secure Browser it returns the "Service unavailable popup?
it does it if i try to sign in through the settings page or by clicking Turn on Sync.

I’ve reported this to Avast let’s see if that gets you some help.

I have No idea why the Google Hangout extension is enabled or how to get rid of it?
I did use it back when I was using Google Chrome as my browser but I uninstalled Google Chrome about a month ago.
The rest of the extensions I’m guessing are Avast as this is a fresh clean install.

Hi Monty9,
thanks for reporting, we’ll look into this issue again. As we can’t really replicate the issue it’s a bit harder for us but fingers crossed so we can get back to you shortly.
Have you tried to create a new Avast account and sign in to Sync? It might help us to see if this issue is related to your account or your PC.
Regarding the Google Hangout extension - we install that one automatically, it’s alright.

Thank you and sorry for the inconvenience.

I have a Subscription for Avast One associated with my current account. How would I move it to a new account?
I have No problem logging into my current account with Avast One or at id.avast.com.

Hello, as my colleague advised, please try to create a new Avast account (just for testing) and enable Sync in browser.
We understand that it works in Avast One however Secure Browser is different product and connects to your account independently. Thanks
