Activation not possible at Avast free

I installed avast free twice, but activation is impossible. I use the spanish version: is this a problem?
On the user interface the first option (state) shows"You are unprotected". No reaction when I click on “Initialise” or "Resolve everything.
My experience under options isn’t better. What can I do?Thanks for any help.

It doesn’t register by re-installing the program but you need to register within the program by giving your email.
