over the few years i’ve used avast!home and now pro i’ve noticed at the end of each a/v scan i do it says it is unable to scan ad-aware…did the same when i had the free version of ad-aware and now the retail version…has always done it and never asked until now…is this normal for avast! to do…everything else is doing fine with my avast!no problems except this "IF"it is… : ;D
Hi,
Ad-aware has many password protected archives that cann’t possibly be scanned by Avast.
Completely normal.

just curious, say if i had AVG,Norton,Panda and the others would they do the same with Ad-aware…but no fear avast!is here to stay on this notebook…thanks for quick reply 8) ;D
Good antivirus report files that can’t be scanned 8)
Although, I do not consider Norton and Panda good antivirus ;D
i don’t consider any good exact avast! and i’ve tried most of them being around computers since the early atari 400 and radio shack tandy computer days when some of you weren’t around yet…(no harm intended)…and i don’t care what reviews say…like that current one floating around on this forum…don’t know until you try it yourself and avast! has saved and has kept my past computers and this notebook—clean and near virus free(not one a/v program can find it all)…thanks to all of you who have developed avast!..bar none…as you see in my caption…the best! ;D 8)
