Ad blocking?

Hi,

Is there any ad blocking programs out there that’s free and works excellent with avast! professional?
Why?
Cause I hate ads :-\

As you can see from the picture, I let GreenBrowser do it for me. You may click on the link to download it. GreenBrowserSetup.exe
That isn’t the only way of handeling ad-blocking and there are many other browser capable of perforning the same task.

There is AdBlock Extension for Firefox/Mozilla. You can get Adblocking filterlist on my eXcessive Software webpage.

By the way, on that list is a program named Internet Sweeper which cost $30 after the trial period. This is not the original and still free Internet Sweeper which can be found here:

The original free Internet Sweeper does all the things that are listed for the $30 version (rip-off?) on the PCWorld page. The $30 one is listed as V4.0 where as the free one is listed as V1.9.2 but the features are the same and it works perfectly with XP Home SP2 … probably the same with XP Pro SP2.

I’m looking for opera ad blocking program, but bob3160 that green browser looks kinda cool ;D

All these browser (Maxthon, GreenBrowser, Avant Borswer etc) are just shells (interfaces) for IE6. So in heart itself it’s still IE6, just with different interface.
Opera or Firefox are imo still the best options if you prefer rich features acompanied with safe engine.

Agreed, but because of compatablity problems with Opera and Firefox on some sites I need in business I’m currently using Avant. It does a good job blocking ads and popups for me.
