ADB Helper - FF

Greetings Avast Community,

I logged onto an avast protected device this morning, after booting up the browser i was presented a warning that the following plugin was rated low by avast users.

ADBHelper Mozilla and Open Source project.

I havn’t installed this plugin myself. it installed it’s self stealthly without any prompts to do so.

I was wondering has anyone else experienced this plugin being installed on there systems without permission? if so should we be concerned about it?

Thank you
Oliver

Just opened up the config menu for the browser.

ADB Helper 0.7.3 false adbhelper@mozilla.org

shows up as a plugin for connections to Firefox OS devices. Not sure why it installed on my browser without permissions. Have considered resetting the browser to a clean state.

I’ve gone ahead and reset the browser back to it’s basic config minus the plugins, done some scans. I’m guessing the plugin installs it’s self after you activate the desktop application service. Will keep monitoring for any new changes.
