Add Remove Programs

I need an Add Remove program, and would like it free! I downloaded Add Remove Master, but after 30 days have to pay, today I found Add Remove Pro and it is free. Is it as good or is there another free one out there that is better?

What are you trying to do?
Why do you need one?
You shouldn’t really need one windows has add remove programs.

3rd party uninstallers are more advertisement that a real thing.
Use Windows Control Panel and, if you need, a specific uninstaller for the program you’re trying to remove.
Oh, if you want, a good Registry Cleaner

Talking of registry cleaners…I want one that is idiot proof… ;D

I don’t think it has been created yet ;D

Is that a spoof, Oops this image isn’t at PhotoBucket anymore or do you ned to change your profile details ;D

lol, no idea where that came from…lol

When I uninstalled Norton AV (before dowloading Avast) the Norton WMI Update would not go off the Windows/Add-Remove. A tech had installed Add-Remove Master on my computer quite awhile ago, and that would usually work if something would stay on the Add/Remove. But I uninstalled it, thinking I would download the newer version, but found out it was only good for 30 days then they wanted $$. I would still like an answer, if anyone knows which is better. Add-Remove Master or Ad-Remove Pro. Surely someone out there knows!

Try CCleaner for a fool proof registry cleaner.

Could it be someone elses photobucket storage/image that the http://snipurl.com/7o22 is pointing at.

OH…I give up …lol

Have tried CCleaner…not idiot enough proof… ;D

Even managed to mess that up on my old system…

Hi Susz
That’s because the registry isn’t meant to be edited by novices.
One wrong move and there goes your operating system.
The best advice is never tamper with the registry unless you have a back-up and a way to get to that back-up
if something goes wrong.

Good advice…just wondered how much rubbish I have in there, and if there was an easy way to clear it, rather than let it get any worse…

Hi Susz,

Have you tried TuneUp Utilities 2006? It has a free working trial for a month.

The program allows you to restore any changes you make, although it’s never caused me any problems.

MaDonna,

Microsoft have a free utilitity for cleaning up Add/Remove entries:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;290301

XP users, Windows Registry backup for free is called ERUNT (http://www.larshederer.homepage.t-online.de/erunt/)

Would back this as tuneup 2006 is the only utility I have ever bought

Thanks guys, will download and let them sit on desktop until I build courage up to try them… ;D

Hi Susz,

If you got ad-/spyware on your comp before you remove it with a special removal program (anti-malware program) or a fixtool, look if there is a normal uninstall method (via start - menu start- the normal way of taking existing programs from your machine) Uninstall) before you contemplate the other special methods. This for reason not to lose the uninstaller on cleaning. This because of leftovers and remnants you want to remove later (registry etc.).

greets,

polonus

Broken link ??? ::slight_smile:
