This has been a problem for years. When Avast finds a false positive during active or passive scanning, it pops up the notification with a link that says “Add the file to the scan exclusion list”. Clicking it does not add the program to the exclusion list.
I do know that they are false positives because I wrote these simple file utility programs.
You can report a suspected FP here: https://www.avast.com/false-positive-file-form.php
Are you Marek Sienczak ?
?? ???
That is not the point at all. This function in the UI is broken and should be fixed. Reporting false positives every time I recompile a private program is a waste of time for both me and avast.
